Homemade .357 Magnum Slamfire Backpack Survival Gun
Every so often, we happen across something that’s effing awesome, and totally worth sharing with you, our fellow gun-lovers. This time around, it’s a homemade .357 magnum, slamfire carbine.
While I don’t necessarily condone the making of homemade arms–simply because I don’t want you to blow yourself up–this one is fantastic, looks like it works well, and is totally something I can see myself building if I had the know-how (which I’ll need your help with, in a minute).
One of my favorite YouTube Channels is Royal Nonesuch. If you haven’t seen him yet, there’s a video of his that we’ll get to in a moment where he shows off his homemade gun by shooting, and utterly destroying, soda bottles and cans with it.
But first, I want to say that making a gun from scratch, is not a light undertaking and should only be done if you know what you’re doing. If something goes wrong, your hand might fall off.
Seriously. Don’t do it, unless you know you can.
I also want to say that you should always be proficient with the gun laws in your home state, to make sure you’re not committing a felony. Some of the more anti-gun states in the union may frown upon this so much that they created a law against it.
I can’t keep up with the laws in all 50 states, so read up on them first.
Without any further ado, here is the homemade .357 slamfire carbine:
I can figure the rest of this homemade gun out, but keeping the firing pin from moving is something I’m having an issue with. I have found barrels and the rest of the parts just by looking at the design, but need help with that little part.
Please let me know how you think he fixed it in the comments, and then make sure you give this article on carrying a loaded handgun a read. You’ll be glad you did, and it might save your life.
